I wanted to send a thank you note and tip for the crew that delivered our Oven to our house in Centreville De,. that is currently under major renovations. The team was very professional, courteous and thorough. I was concerned about the overall weight and size of the oven, the fact that they had to drag it up a substantial set of stairs, and were able to do this without a nick or bumping anything, thus saving the additional cost of renting a crane we would have otherwise needed. Please see that this gratuity is distributed properly.

The experts in the medicine of psychology say that moving is in the top three of the most stressful events of a family's life. I have moved eleven times in a lifelong effort to earn a living just to test this theory. We have moved from the East coast three times and each event had its own set of challenges. This move was quite different because this time I was forced to withdraw my daughter from college and move her from an apartment in Brooklyn, New York, because of a brain tumor. The condition required a timing schedule that did not have a job deadline but a deadline related to chemotherapy. A dear friend of mine had recently moved from Pennsylvania back to Texas and highly recommended Joe Clemmer and Allied Van Lines. I contacted Mr. Clemmer. He patiently explained to me the options available knowing full well that we were moving memories, not items of a high monetary value. Memories take on their own value when they become a medicinal treatment for a very sick young lady and her parents that are trying to escort her through her illness. Our daughter's doctors timed our visit back to Brooklyn with her treatments so she could say goodbye to her friends, purge her belongings and make personal decisions about her possessions. No one knew about this journey because she wanted to feel "normal" and chose not to announce her condition for fear of the dreaded sympathy farewells. I have been using Clemmer for the past couple of years for a project to pick multi-functional devices for a large and demanding national company and have the systems processed for safe return to the leasing company. Clemmer is the third company I have engaged for this project and they are far and away the best company I have dealt with. Karen DeHaven is my contact and she is a tremendous asset to Clemmer. We are writing to let you know of the wonderful customer service we received from your company. Moving can be a very stressful time and a couple of your employees made our move a pleasant experience. The person we dealt with most often was Jimmie Dasch. You have a jewel of an employee in her. She never made us feel like we were bothering her, nothing was ever too much trouble and she always answered our emails promptly and returned phone calls right away. Jimmie was always professional and knowledgeable. Her cheerful helpfulness and calm demeanor was appreciated. We just can't say enough about her great customer service! Sharon in accounts payable returned my call right away and was patient in explaining charges. Gordon the driver who delivered our goods was a personable and professional mover. He introduced himself right away and let us know we could come to him with any problems, questions or let him know about anything we didn't like. His delivery went smoothly and our goods were delivered in good condition. We do not want to forget the crew who packed for our move. They came on time, worked smoothly together and obviously did a great job packing our furniture and fragile items. We know from personal experience how rare good customer service is nowadays. These employees have represented your company in an exemplary manner.

I'd use the phrase 'bang-up' but in this case that might not not be give the correct impression. Not one piece of furniture or wall (at either location) was scuffed or dinged during the move and that included moving 5 This End Up bookcases and 3 This End Up dining tables from the 2nd floor, and several heavy pieces of gym equipment from the basement. The two men were professional in every respect. They needed little instruction after we reviewed the items to be moved so I was able to focus on the zillion last minute details associated with moving out. So again, Clemmer was a great company/team to work with, including you. It was efficient and I knew it would be done right. I will recommend Clemmer anytime.

All the way from hooking up with you (my sister Nancy found you) for moving our family "icon" pinball machine to Jesse King (the man who picked it up), the customer service was incredible! I cannot speak highly enough of your accommodating myself (arranging the pick-up around my schedule) to your great outgoing personality on the phone. Then to meet such a refined man who was prompt, courteous, and so organized when he arrived at my house I cannot say enough about him. It was a bitter cold day and he was positive and upbeat the whole time he worked with prepping the pinball machine to move. He was meticulous about his wrapping it carefully, and logging on to his paperwork all the details. Please acknowledge him for such fine customer service... you guys are sooooo lucky to have him in your employ. To be honest I cannot remember having dealings with someone of his caliber. I will speak highly of Allied Van Lines/Clemmer Moving Co. to anyone needing the service. A big Thank You to you Steve, and Jesse! I am writing to you to again express my gratitude for the excellent care your company took of my family. We are so encouraged to receive such caring service. Moving for the first time to a far away state caused enough fear and worry and using a professional moving company for the first time was also a concern. But from the first time we talked to you, our concerns were reduced. Your confidence was so helpful. Confirmation of the schedule was encouraging and repeated contact from your company and the driver (Tom Weatherly) helped tremendously. We knew we were all "on board." Tom's effort in preparing things for moving was impressive. He experience helped us know that we were in good hands. He tagged everything and completed paperwork promptly and completely. The workers assisting him were young and hard-working, but the “old guy” (Tom) really showed them up, out-working them all. Tom made the drive a day ahead of us and waited until we arrived. As a result, we were able to move in a day ahead of schedule. That was incredible. Now, two weeks alter, the unpacking is almost done and I was moved to again thank you and your company for everything. Your help was encouraging and your people provided excellent service. When we move my 91-year-old stepmother in a few months, your phone will be ringing. Thank you again Jimmie, for all of your caring help.

Although I worried you, the delivery time could not have been better as I arrived in Greensboro the night prior to the truck. I appreciate the way the shipment was picked up from my house in Philadelphia to the final delivery to Greensboro. Charles, his son Mike (I call him 'the baby') and their helper, Charles were top professionals at all times and treated my shipment as 'fine crystal' from start to finish.
